"Omnes viae Romam ducunt“

All roads lead to Rome

In this programme we combine selected works by composers of the late 17th and 18th century, who all followed the calling of Rome and spend there some time, as did for example G.F. Händel, J.-M. Hotteterre and J.J. Quantz, to mention just a few. Although all these composers maintain their distinct musical style, the audience is welcome to discover whether some “roman” elements can be heard in these works.
